OUTREACH

Spreading the Gospel through serving the school

Every school served.

We challenge every Youth Alive Movement to create regular outreaches to serve their campuses. Whether they serve the greater student population, or specific groups of people, we invite & celebrate creativity as students serve their schools in order to spread the Gospel. We also like to keep students informed of bigger project ideas and serve as a resource when students have larger-scale ideas for their outreach events.

We hope to partner with local churches and youth groups to provide strategies for serving their local schools and connecting with administration.

OUTREACH IDEAS

Keep in Mind:

  • Who will we serve?

  • What will we do to serve them?

  • In what ways will we share the Gospel?

  • Attach scripture verses to Gatorade bottles and deliver to a sports team during a game or practice

  • Write encouraging messages, scriptures, etc on sticky notes and place them on a wall at school where students can see and take the notes.

  • Partner with Speed the Light & Convoy of Hope to raise money on campus for the Youth Alive “Feed One” project in Madagascar. Hold an event to celebrate the funds that were raised.

Contact Youth Alive leadership for more information!

  • Host a collection of some sort through your Youth Alive club for the student body to participate in. You can collect things like:

    • Canned Food & Non-Perishable Goods

    • Hygiene Products

    • Toys/Games

    • Sports Equipment

Based on your collection type, arrange an organization to donate to, like a church, food bank, fire department, etc.

  • Host a tailgate event before a game or match. Creatively incorporate things like Christian music & a Gospel presentation.

  • Create an event where your club cleans up around the school, or offers to do a project that needs to get done. Ex: cleaning up trash, cleaning classrooms, organizing storage/supplies, painting a building, etc.

  • Host an event for a club or team to celebrate the end of their season. Ex: celebrate the end of football season, celebrate the end of the school musical

  • Have your club write notes of appreciation for teachers around the school and bring a treat or something the teachers and staff can enjoy to know they are appreciated.

“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
