YOUTH ALIVE MOVEMENTS

Youth Alive Movements are…

Life-giving, student-led gatherings on the campus of a student’s life.

They are a place where students from all walks of life can hear an encouraging word, receive prayer, and find Godly community. We want to see a life-giving club or movement represented on every campus in Arizona. We have clubs meeting weekly all over Arizona, in schools, homes, parks, and online. Youth Alive Movements include everything from a traditional, school-sanctioned club, to cyberschool clubs, homeschool clubs, Youth Alive huddles, and community college movements. We would love to have you join in the movement to reach every student, every school!

YOUTH ALIVE MOVEMENTS

  • A traditional Youth Alive Club is an official school-approved club that meets on the school campus. In the past, this has been the most common type of Movement. It can meet during school, or before or after school. If you attend a traditional public/private school that has clubs, a traditional Youth Alive Club may be the best option for you. Official school clubs often get to make announcements, hang up posters, and use school rooms and resources. Traditional Youth Alive Clubs have focused goals of sharing the Gospel with others through teaching and preaching and doing outreaches to those outside the club.

  • A Youth Alive Huddle is a group of students who meet in an “unofficial” way to share the Gospel with their school. Huddles are not clubs—they do not seek school approval, do not officially use school rooms to meet, and do not work through any other official school channels. If you’ve tried to start an official school club but met too many challenges, a Youth Alive Huddle might be the best option for you. Huddles often meet outside of school to plan how to share the Gospel in school and beyond by doing outreaches that serve their friends.

  • A homeschool Youth Alive Club is similar to a traditional public-school club—it just takes place on a different campus. A homeschool club shares the Gospel with a homeschool co-op, neighborhood, or workplaces through teaching and preaching the Word of God and doing outreaches. If you attend homeschool, you still have a campus to reach—your neighborhood, community, co-op, clubs, and friends. Starting a homeschool Youth Alive Club may be the Movement for you.

  • A cyber school Youth Alive Club is for students who attend school online. Cyber school clubs usually meet online; either through a school provided online classroom, a video meeting service such as Zoom, or through a social network like Discord. A cyber school Youth Alive Club shares the Gospel through teaching and preaching, as well as finding creative ways to do outreach. If you attend school online and God has given you a passion to share the Gospel, starting a cyber school Youth Alive Club may be the Movement for you.

  • A Youth Alive Prayer Movement is a simple and powerful strategy for students to meet together for prayer at school, inviting those who may not know Jesus to pray with them or to receive prayer. A prayer movement doesn’t take much time, doesn’t have to be an official school club, and doesn’t need permission to gather for prayer. If you are unable to start a traditional Youth Alive Club or are already involved in too many extracurricular activities to start a club, a prayer movement can be a quick and easy option to reach your school with God’s love and power.

  • If you are dual enrolled in college as a high school student, you can start a Youth Alive Movement on that college campus to share the Gospel and invite your fellow students to church. On the college campus, we work with Chi Alpha to start these movements. Chi Alpha is like Youth Alive, but they focus on college campuses. A College Youth Alive/Chi Alpha focuses on sharing the Gospel through teaching and preaching, as well as doing outreaches.
